One Month Away

Prayer Request: Please pray that we glorify God in everything we do as we prepare for this trip to Japan.

Missions Update:

One more month! We are one month away from our departure for Japan and are cramming in last-minute preparations accordingly. We are running through our training modules about 7x faster than a person is normally supposed to, but it seems we are still able to retain the information well because we are using the information as we are learning it. One of the things that were recommended to us through the training was to use a website/blog/Facebook page to connect with our supporters (you) as we move forward with this trip (and future trips). I’m really happy that we already had our website/blog up and running as I would not have wanted to set up a new website right now!

We bought our plane tickets today! This means the dates are official-official, and brings a new sense of reality (i.e.: Wow, we’re really doing this!) to the adventure. We are looking forward to getting our official-official itinerary in the next few weeks, so we can map out our trip and share more precisely what we will be doing in Japan.

Family Update:

We are looking for childcare… Our friend who is watching our kids may get a job at my work! This is really good for her (and my work), but the kids will, once again, be going through some transitions. Please Pray!

Rett and I are doing well, life is smoothing out a bit, and even though we have tackled a lot of work in the last few weeks, we have been able to feel a sense of rest because things are moving forward.
