Prayer Request: Praise that Rett and the kids are in good health again! Prayer that Kim would get over her cold quickly. 🙂
After a little over a month of having this website, I finally added “subscribe” (look to the right) and “contact” links! (along with some other less interesting tweaks.) It is a great blessing that our family has had the time to work on this blog, and I am very grateful that user-friendly website design software exists! (Otherwise, we wouldn’t have this website, because I don’t know how to code.) I also must give a shout-out to our church, Elevate Church Mankato, for trusting me with their website! Over the past few years, I have enjoyed figuring out the basics of web design and learning a little about HTML through serving in this way.
I believe that in today’s world, specifically in the USA, having an online platform from which to communicate is important. Part of this is because I really like being able to learn more about an organization/business online before I visit them in person, and I think a lot of people feel the same way. For church leaders or missionaries: blogs are a great place to tell stories and engage with people who might be hard to communicate with regularly in person. I know I wouldn’t be able to communicate with all our church family, friends, and family members weekly without this platform! I would encourage anyone who is thinking about the potential usefulness of a website to look into the various web-design software available through the internet. Our church uses one specifically designed for churches, and I use WordPress for this website. Of course, I will always be happy to help if you have any questions, so feel free to comment or contact me! 🙂
Kid’s Space: CC and Ryan had a lot of fun while Grandma was visiting! Now they are trying to get back into their normal routine and are bored to tears… We are happy to see a lot of creative coloring and fort-building come of this, but not so happy to be breaking up some extra sibling arguments!
