Merry Christmas! We hope you have been able to have a wonderful Christmas season and are looking forward to 2023. We have had the special blessing this year to celebrate Advent (4 weeks before Christmas) and Christmas with our church family (with some sort of event every Sunday, eek!). It was great fun and a wonderful means to reflect on the first coming of Jesus. Truly, focusing on the season of Advent was a peaceful escape from the Christmas rush that has a tendency to take over this time of year. At the same time, I am about ready to put all of my baking tools and dressy clothes (no more heels!) away for a few months!
Family Update
Rett is continuing to work at the UPS store while looking for jobs more appropriate for a post-grad, and Kim continues to work as the Supervisor at DTS Mail Services and is taking counseling classes at DTS as she is able. We are praying about some big changes this coming year and would appreciate your prayers for wisdom, courage, and provision when you think of us.
Ryan and Cecilia are enjoying school, clubs, music, and Minecraft. In the coming year, they are looking forward to making new friends and spending more family time outside.
River (our cat) is enjoying our new apartment, chasing bugs, and the occasional walk outside (despite our efforts to contain her). She is looking forward to a new year full of cat treats and naps in the sun.
We would love to hear how you and your family are doing! We've received a number of beautiful Christmas cards from many of you already and it is wonderful to see your growing families and smiling faces, which make us feel a little closer to home.
With all our love,
The Dvorak Family
Rett, Kim, Ryan, and Cecilia

Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices;
together they shout for joy.
When the Lord returns to Zion,
they will see it with their own eyes.
Burst into songs of joy together,
you ruins of Jerusalem,
for the Lord has comforted his people,
he has redeemed Jerusalem.
